Ms. Taguchi, Coordinating Officer, conducted a lecture and an SDGs workshop for sixth-grade students at Maizuru Elementary Schools in Fukuoka City.
During the lecture, she introduced the work of UN-Habitat and initiatives to achieve the SDGs. This was followed by a workshop on village reconstruction and community planning, where students worked in groups to discuss their ideas and give presentations.
The programme provided an opportunity for students to learn the importance of critical thinking, teamwork and communication.
