Overview
The Fifteenth Environmental Technology Expert Group Meeting was held under the theme of “Sustainable Urban Development through Climate Adaptation – Solutions through Urban Energy and Green Building Technologies -” on 26 September 2024 online via Zoom, participated by Government and private company representatives from Asia and Japan.
This year, we welcomed government officials and UN-Habitat project manager from three countries in Asia (Nepal, Philippines, and Vietnam), who presented their current state, issues related to urban energy and initiatives on climate change and adaption in their respective countries and cities.
Japanese experts shared their unique expertise and technologies such as tidal power generation, the world’s first Magnus wind turbine, solar sharing, and biogas, while Asian experts discussed the possibility of introducing these technologies in their home countries.
