Overview
The Fourteenth Environmental Technology Expert Group Meeting was held under the theme of “Sustainable Urban Development through Climate Adaptation and Action” on 12 September 2023, participated by Government and city representatives from Asia to Fukuoka, Japan.
This year, we welcomed government officials and representatives from four countries in Asia (Cambodia, Nepal, Philippines, and Viet Nam), who presented issues, current situations, and initiatives on climate change and adaption of their action plans in their respective countries and cities.
From the Japanese side, experts from private sector, recommended as good practices by Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, Government of Japan, shared their technologies, actual experience in Japan and Asia, and technical advice on effective adaptions for improvement of issues, etc. The participants from both sides enjoyed active discussion about their unique technologies and it continued even after the completion of official closing of meeting.
