On 27 November 2025, the 16th Asia Townscape Awards ceremony was held in Hong Kong for the first time in six years. The event was co-hosted by the UN-Habitat Regional Office for Asia and the Pacific (Fukuoka), the Asian Habitat Society, the Fukuoka Asian Urban Research Center, the Asian Townscape Design Society, and the Korea Landscape Council.

This year, 11 projects from six countries — China, the Republic of Korea, the Philippines, Bangladesh, India and Jordan — were selected from a total of 72 applications. Approximately 100 participants, including award recipients and related stakeholders from each country, attended the ceremony.
