Ms. Ishigaki visited Hon. Yukihito Koga, Member of the House of Councilors.

She shared recent activities of UN-Habitat and exchanged views on sustainable urban development, including smart cities.

Ms.Ishigaki visited Mr.Ronaldo Amaral, Minister, at the Embassy of the Federative Republic of Brazil in Tokyo.

She conveyed that Ms. Anaclaudia Rossbach, Executive Director of UN-Habitat will be visiting Japan and exchanged views on the potential for future collaboration with UN-Habitat.

Ms. Ishigaki attended “the APEC Tokyo Conference on Quality Infrastructure Investments to address environmental challenges of the cities in APEC region”, organized by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism (MLIT) where she delivered keynote speech introducing UN Habitat approach to resilient cities.

On 16 June 2025, Ms. Ishigaki gave a special lecture at Tokyo Women’s Christian University. With the moderation by the Visiting Professor, Ms. Mari Christine, about 170 students from many departments including Department of Economics and Management participated in the lecture. She introduced her work in the UN and her entire career path as the students will start job searching shortly.

In the conclusion, she mentioned that it is her generation’s responsibility to make the society gender sensitive as there remain many challenges in terms of gender equality, while encouraging the young talented female students for endeavoring career path.

Mr. Hirose, Director of OISCA Nishinippon T.C. visited our office. We discussed the future opportunity for collaboration. Look forward to working together to promote international cooperation from Fukuoka.
