About the Organizers

UN-Habitat is working towards strengthening the capacity of African, Caribbean and Pacific SIDS to adapt to climate change, mitigate risk and build resilience at the city and community levels. In recent years, drawing on the dramatic impacts of COVID-19, the organisation has adopted a holistic and integrated approach to climate resilience in SIDS, putting emphasis on crisis preparedness and inclusive green post-crisis recovery.

The Development Bank of Latin America and the Caribbean (CAF) has recently expanded and opened a regional representation in the Caribbean Islands States. The bank supports Small Island Developing States by promoting policies for the implementation of resilient infrastructure and active mobility to achieve urban, climate and economic resilience.
